I’m a Digital Marketing Professional and founder of Blue Heron Digital Inc. My team provides a full range of digital marketing solution to small-medium sized businesses across Canada.

What inspires you at work?
I love my job because I get to be a superhero for my clients! Every extra sale we bring in for them could be the one that saves the day for them. It’s like we’re helping them build dream castles, one digital brick at a time. What gets me out of bed every morning? Seeing how our kick-ass marketing moves make a real difference—more website hits, killer conversion rates, sky-high brand awareness, you name it.
How did you get into Digital Marketing?
My journey into digital marketing began with a marketing degree. After graduating, I landed my first job as a digital marketing manager for a small business. It was in this role that I realized the tremendous value that strategic digital marketing can bring to small and medium-sized businesses. This insight led me to start freelancing and eventually launching my own digital agency, and I’ve been passionate about helping businesses thrive in the digital space ever since.
What’s a valuable lesson you’ve learned recently?
One valuable lesson I’ve learned recently is that resilience is key in digital marketing. Campaigns may not always perform as expected and algorithms constantly change, but it’s important to stay flexible, adapt quickly, and keep a positive attitude. It’s also important to remember that every failure is an opportunity for learning and growth. Another valuable lesson – take a small step outside your comfort zone at least once a day! Great things happen outside your comfort zone – trust me.
What is your superpower?
My superpower is a rare combination of creativity and analytical skills. This means I have the ability to craft compelling, creative marketing campaigns while also digging into data to measure their success and make informed decisions. It’s this balance that I believe truly sets me apart in the digital marketing industry.
Do you speak any other languages?
Yes, apart from English, I’m fluent in Tamil, which is my mother tongue.
What advice would you give to yourself at age 15?
I would tell my 15-year-old self to always stay curious and never stop learning. Embrace challenges and step outside of your comfort zone because that’s where real growth happens. Also, nurture your creativity and analytical skills – they’ll help break open new worlds one day.
What’s your favourite restaurant/thing to do in the area?
I absolutely love Khao San Road. Their Thai food is consistently amazing, and they are always busy!
What do you do when you’re not here coworking?
When I’m not at work, I’m embracing first-time fatherhood. Spending quality time with my family is incredibly important to me, and I cherish every moment I get.
What is your favourite thing about TVH Duncan Mill?
My favourite thing about The Village Hive – Duncan Mill is the friendly faces and the welcoming atmosphere. It’s a place that truly fosters creativity and pushes for success. Being surrounded by other like-minded individuals is not only inspiring but also motivating and keeps me moving forward.
